Industrial and Competition Policy

The core missions of the industrial and competition policy of the Federation of Finnish Enterprises are

  • to strengthen a pro-entrepreneurship industrial policy and regional development in municipalities, provinces and on a national scale
  • to facilitate a smoothly operating market and competition neutrality
  • to strengthen the multi-producer model in public sector service production, particularly in the social and health services
  • to improve the chances of SMEs in public procurement.

One of the key strengths of our Federation is that we are present in every municipality in Finland through our local associations. Our regional organisations, on the other hand, serve as natural partners for the upcoming provinces. The main focus of our municipal and provincial advocacy is on systematic, entrepreneur-oriented industrial policy, good procurement and the improved utilization of the private sector as part of the public service system.
Our goal is that every municipality and province will engage in open, continuous dialogue with entrepreneurs. And that entrepreneurship is taken into account both in the strategy and in day-to-day work and decisions.
