Training: First employee – How, why, and when?
- Turun Yrittäjät
Are you hiring your first employee or would you like to hear about the possibilities of hiring an employee? Turku Entrepreneurs and Tilitoimisto Aarnio are jointly organizing First Employee training for entrepreneurs in the region on March 17. The speaker at the event will be Niko Nurmela, an expert and lawyer from Suomen Yrittäjät.
Nurmela will explain the legal differences between working under a subcontracting agreement, as a part-time employee, or as an intern. What is the legal status of the worker in each situation, and what obligations, rights, and responsibilities does this entail for both the employer and the employee?
The event is free of charge, hybrid, and will be held in Finnish. Remote participation: listening to the event and presentation only. The link to the lines can be found in the registration confirmation message.
Program:
8:30–9:00 Networking and breakfast, welcome!
9:00–9:30 Part 1: Speaker: SY expert Niko Nurmela
Lawyer Niko Nurmela works as an expert at Suomen Yrittäjät (Finnish Entrepreneurs) and has been advising and training entrepreneurs on topics related to labor and business legislation for many years. In addition, Niko participates in the preparation of labor legislation and advocacy work.

9:30–10:00 Part 2: Training by Aarnio Accounting Firm. Speaker: Tatu Virta

Also included are the most common mistakes, key points in an employment contract, and why hiring does not always immediately make everyday life easier.
