The Committees bring an entrepreneurial perspective to the influencing work of Yrittäjät. The aim is to improve the daily lives of small and medium-sized enterprises.

BUSINESS POLICY COMMITTEE

The role of the business policy committee is to bring business and competition policy questions that are crucial for businesses’ success into the discussion. It is also tasked with drawing up policy recommendations for resolving such matters in a pro-enterprise way. The committee helps the business policy team in its municipal and regional advocacy and assists advocacy at the national and EU levels.

ENERGY AND CLIMATE COMMITTEE

The energy and climate committee supports advocacy work when it comes to energy and climate questions. The key themes the committee works with are energy and environmental policy, the circular economy, waste management and streamlining environmental permits.

ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITTEE

The organizational committee deliberates on matters related to the operations, structure and rules of Suomen Yrittäjät as an organization.

GROWTH AND INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION COMMITTEE

The growth and international expansion committee supports advocacy work in matters related to businesses’ growth and expansion abroad. The committee discusses the organization’s international cooperation, promotes businesses’ growth and international expansion, strengthens growth-hungry entrepreneurs’ peer network, helps find and provide support for growth, expands the public image of growth entrepreneurship and highlights barriers to growth.

 
TRADE AND SERVICES COMMITTEE

The trade and services committee supports advocacy in matters related to this sector of the economy. The committee cooperates with the Finnish Commerce Federation.

TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS COMMITTEE

The transport and logistics committee supports advocacy in matters related to transport and logistics.

SKILLS COMMITTEE

The skills committee supports social advocacy in skills and education policy matters. In doing so, it promotes the development of a pro-enterprise skills and education system from the perspectives of skilled labour, new entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs’ personal skills and enterprise development services.

FINANCE AND TAXATION COMMITTEE

The finance and taxation committee supports advocacy in finance and taxation policy questions. The key themes with which the committee deals are market and supplementary finance, tax law and tax practices.

CONSTRUCTION COMMITTEE

The committee highlights crucial issues for construction and presents solutions to them. It also supports advocacy on legislative matters affecting the sector

FOOD COMMITTEE

The committee raises the profile of Finnish food entrepreneurship and rural entrepreneurship more broadly as a future growth sector. We bring together business owners in primary production, the agri-food industry, food technology, and catering. The goal is to significantly boost the income of entrepreneurs in the entire sector and open new opportunities for them, both at home and abroad.

HEALTHCARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES COMMITTEE

The healthcare and social services committee supports advocacy in matters related to healthcare and social service legislation. It also supports advocacy on decision-making regarding service structures. Additionally, the goal of the committee is to promote cooperation with trade associations in the health and welfare sector.
