Business policy and competition

The key goals of Suomen Yrittäjät in developing business policy are:

  • enterprise-friendlier business and regional development policy at the local, regional and national levels
  • an increased role for the multi-producer model in public services, particularly in healthcare and social services
  • better opportunities for SMEs to participate in public procurement.

Through its local societies, Suomen Yrittäjät is present in almost every Finnish municipality. Its 20 regional associations are a natural partner for the future regional assemblies.

We want to see every municipality and region engage in an honest, ongoing dialogue with business owners. The goal is to include entrepreneurship both in strategy and daily work and decisions.

The Suomen Yrittäjät website offers tangible tools for enterprise-friendly business policy, the multi-producer model and good procurement: www.yrittajat.fi/kunta.
