Sustainability and Entrepreneurship: An Introduction

In this video, we will do a recap on the basics of sustainability, how businesses implement sustainability, best practices and steps to take to start on your sustainability journey.

This video is created for entrepreneurs wanting to learn about sustainability. If you are starting a company, or wanting to include sustainability in your operations, but you don’t know how or where to start, this is for you.

The intention is to give you a clear explanation on topics related to sustainability. The goal is that you gain a clear understanding of its importance. And also few steps are shared for you to get started and get you thinking strategically when it comes to your personal responsibility journey.

You will learn about

1. The recap:
   The definitions used and what does this mean for a company and an entrepreneur wanting to focus on their responsibility.
2. For companies:
   You will learn about Corporate Social Responsibility & ESG’s and why this is important for you.
3. Examples:
   I will give examples of companies doing interesting things in the field of sustainability and paving the way for others.
4. Strategies:
   You will learn how you can start taking steps in making a plan and creating a strategy for yourself.

Andrea Gilly

I am Andrea Gilly, I am from Mexico and have lived in Finland for 6 years. I am an entrepreneur like yourself, my company is called Gilly and there I work as a consultant and mentor with companies, designing creative sustainability strategies. I work with clients who want to start implementing sustainable solutions in their company, but don’t know where to start.

My background is in product design, and I studied a Masters in sustainability at Aalto University (which brought me to Finland). This knowledge gives me a creative perspective to address sustainability in innovative ways, targeted specifically to my clients.
