The common overarching goal of this network is to improve the business environment in Finland. The mandate period is two calendar years (2022-2023). There are meetings on average four times a year. Members will be reimbursed for travel expenses. The management team is composed of a maximum of 12 persons, including the chairperson.
Heiju Simola, network coordinator at Suomen Yrittäjät, portrays the aim of the managemant team “It’s important for migrant entrepreneurs to find each other and also get in contact with entrepreneurs born in Finland. We want to provide entrepreneurs a platform where they can share ideas and expand their networks. Peer support and networks are important for all entrepreneurs, but especially for those new to Finland’s business environment and culture. In the beginning of this management team’s mandate period, it will set and determine goals for the upcoming two years, but generally speaking, the purpose of the network is to support entrepreneurs in running their businesses as well as develop the services of Suomen Yrittäjät. During the previous mandate period the management team has also addressed immigration matters and contributed to the public debate in general.”,
