The application period for the fourth round of business cost support starts next Tuesday 17th of August

The fourth call for applications for business cost support opens at the State Treasury on 17th of August and ends on 30th of September.

The fourth call for applications for cost support is intended for companies whose turnover due to the pandemic has decreased by more than 30 percent during the support period 1 March – 31 May 2021 compared with the corresponding time in 2019.

– The Corona pandemic has severely limited companies’ operations this spring as well, and therefore the fourth call for applications for cost support is needed. With the support, we help companies to surpass the corona crisis, says Minister of Trade and Industry Mika Lintilä.

Suomen Yrittäjät demanded that a 20% reduction in turnover would have been eligible for the aid. This would have been important especially for smaller companies. However, the parliament decided not to lower the limit.

Companies in all business areas can apply for business cost support. Self-employed persons can also still apply for cost support. The support  is granted on the basis of the decline in companies’ turnover and actual costs. A company can receive 2000 euros of support, even if the company’s support is calculated to be less than that amount if it has at least 2000 euros of eligible expenses during the support period.
