Business survey on Turku’s downtown and the tram line

Major changes are coming to downtown Turku in the coming years as construction begins on a tram line through the city center. In the first phase, starting in March 2027, the renovation of the Tuomiokirkko Bridge and related traffic arrangements (including the closure of the Auransilta Bridge) will significantly change how people get to the city center and move around there.

The City of Turku, the Turku City Center Association, and Turku Entrepreneurs would like to hear entrepreneurs’ views on the vitality of Turku’s city center, its development, the tramway project, and the future of your businesses. We have created a survey that we will repeat throughout the tramway project so that we can hear your views before, during, and after the project.

The survey for businesses is open from Friday, October 9, to Sunday, October 25, 2026.

• Completing the survey takes about 5–10 minutes.
• The survey is anonymous, and individual respondents cannot be identified from their responses.
• The results will be reported publicly as part of the tramway’s impact monitoring around the turn of the year 2026–27.
