Nina Rasola to stand for Yrittäjät chair
Etelä-Savon Yrittäjät is nominating Nina Rasola for chair of Suomen Yrittäjät.
The current chair of Suomen Yrittäjät, Petri Salminen, is serving his third and, under the association’s rules, final two-year term at the helm of the Finnish SME association. Salminen’s successor will be elected in October at the Yrittäjät general assembly in Lahti.
The board of Etelä-Savon Yrittäjät is nominating its own chair, Nina Rasola, as the next chair of Suomen Yrittäjät. She is the first candidate to announce her candidacy in the chair contest.
Rasola is a long-standing business owner.
“Entrepreneurship is changing. We need the courage to renew ourselves, but also the ability to hold on to the fundamentals Finnish entrepreneurship has been built on: work, responsibility and wanting to build a better tomorrow,” Rasola says.
Rasola wants to open up broad discussion on the future of entrepreneurship, the operating environment for business owners and the role of the Finnish SME association in a changing society.
“Suomen Yrittäjät must become an even stronger advocate, but also move even closer to its members. We must be able to speak the language of growth business owners, solo business owners and family businesses, while understanding different everyday realities and needs,” Rasola stresses.
Rasola is a member of the board of Suomen Yrittäjät and has previously served as vice-chair of Suomen Yrittäjät.
