1- HYBot: an AI assistant for companies.
HYBot is a private AI system that helps companies work with their internal documents. It can index documents like processes, technical files, invoices, and knowledge articles. Then, a chatbot can answer questions only about those documents.
Employees can ask HYBot things like how to help a customer or where to find a form without needing to ask a colleague. Each employee has their own access rights, and admins can choose which documents each person can see.
Customers can also use the chatbot for support. Companies can even connect their technical systems to HYBot. The AI can send commands to devices based on technical documents without needing a human to think or decide.

Brief story/history of the company?

Hyper ICT Oy was registered in Espoo to support companies with advanced IT needs.
While many companies provide general IT and network services, Hyper ICT Oy focuses on solving specific and complex problems.

Our team has strong expertise in IT, networking, and cloud systems. All of our experts have over 20 years of experience working with everyone from home users to large enterprises.

What is a typical workday like for you?

First, I check our service monitoring tools to see if there were any issues during the night. Sometimes I log in to our software as a customer to test it myself.
Next, I check my email and reply to all messages. Every day, I usually receive at least one complex email. for example, from our accountant or contractors that needs my decision or help to solve a problem.
Customer requests and emails are always my top priority.

As a technical entrepreneur, I also support our technical engineers and help with the most difficult issues.
I have daily meetings with other top managers to discuss the day’s tasks. I also review our social media channels and read comments carefully, sometimes people give us great ideas for improving our services.
Finally, since we have many customers outside Europe, I follow up on overdue invoices and payments.

Anything else you’d like to share (e.g. about your company, customers, employees)?

Customers are always our first priority. We carefully review and reply to every message or request they send.

One time, a customer asked about the price of one of our services. After discussing his needs, I realized he didn’t need our service at that moment he needed a different solution. I explained everything clearly and gave him honest advice.
Months later, he came back and bought two services from Hyper ICT. Now, he recommends to his colleagues.

What entrepreneurial skill are you good at and helps you stand out?

I am very customer oriented. I always try to solve every customer problem. I believe that everything a customer says might help improve our service or create a new opportunity.

For example, one customer said he had a small connection issue every 15 minutes. Others thought the problem was with his internet provider, but I investigated deeply. I found that one of our automatic monitoring scripts was causing the issue, our system was the reason! I fixed it quickly.

How do you relieve stress?

I hug my son. It always helps me feel better.

Did you have any preconceptions about entrepreneurship? Have they turned out to be true?

Sometimes, yes. But in my experience, the world is often unpredictable. As an entrepreneur, I need to make quick decisions and consider many dependencies at the same time.

What is your guilty pleasure that you’re a little embarrassed to admit (except to fellow entrepreneurs) — TV show, song, food, book, hobby, clothing?

My guilty pleasure is watching the cartoon “James the Cat” and reading the “Tintin” book series.
I also enjoy watching “Rikkaat ja rahattomat”, “The Voice of Finland”, and “Suomen huutokauppakeisari”.
When it comes to music, I love listening to old rock bands like “Dire Straits”, “Judas Priest”, “ZZ Top”, “Motörhead”, “Iron Maiden”, “BB King”, Gary Moore” and “Pink Floyd” even if I don’t always admit it!
I usually read historical books, but now I’ve started reading a summary of Kalevala.

Do you have any morning routines?

As a middle-aged engineer, I try not to follow a strict routine 😊. But when I wake up, I prepare breakfast for my family. I make tea, warm the bread, set the table with things like jam and honey, and sometimes I make soft boiled eggs, sunny side up eggs, or fry some bacon.
After that, I usually spend about 30 minutes learning Finnish.

Share one tip on entrepreneurship or life that you’d give to a fellow entrepreneur.

Working is great and fulfilling, but we should remember, we only turn 50 once. Tomorrow, we’re already 50 and one day.
If we have kids, we should enjoy watching them grow.
Hold your child’s hand. Walk them close to school.
Because soon, it will be too late.
They’ll want to go with friends and say, “Please don’t come with me.”
And then, before we know it, they become independent and move on faster than we ever expected.
